Bangor Trident Swim Team

The Bangor Trident Swim Team (BTST) is a private and non-profit swim team. Our team is unique in that it is only open to military (both active and retired) and DOD families. BTST is a great team to join!

Each of our staff members have first aid/CPR training (certified by the Red Cross) and are certified to coach by Pacific Northwest Swimming.

BTST is affiliated with the USA Swimming Organization at the national level and with Pacific Northwest Swimming at the local level. What does this mean? BTST, along with other teams operating in the Pacific Northwest compete under the guidance and rules provided by USA/PNS. USA also provides the mandatory insurance for all participants. Therefore, each BTST team member must join USA/PNS to become a member of BTST.

Although we conduct our practices onboard Naval Base Kitsap (both Bangor and Bremerton pools), we receive no funds from the military.

In addition to swimming, BTST builds camaraderie amongst the team members and helps get the families involved in the team throughout the year by having holiday pot lucks, dinners, and other social events.
